Scenario: Quality Improvement Plan

Post by Bekann » Sat Mar 29, 2014 12:29 pm

Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: Module 1: Organisational Requirements: CHCIC501B AND CHCRF511A
Your Assignment Type: Case Scenario
Currently Working in Childcare? Yes
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge

Your Question?
During the development of your Quality Improvement Plan, the committee of parents and educators decided that there was a perceived weakness in the behaviour of concern management systems/practices being implemented at the centre. In particular the weakness related to the ongoing problems that one child's aggressive outburst are having upon other children and educators.

a) What can you do about this weakness?

b) Where could you gain support/advice?

c) What funding is available to support the service and particularly the child?

d) What types of support can be offered to the service and educators?

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
a) To improve this weakness on the ongoing problem of one child's aggressive outburst is by encouraging good behaviour from this child but also by spending more time with this child and finding out when the outburst occur and why they have occurred, to help find a way to improve this weakness within the service.

b) You could gain support and advice from other educators within the service. You could also gain advice from the child's parent on how they handle the outburst that they have at home. You may even gain advice and support from higher authorities within your centre.

c) Not completely sure on this question.

d) The types of support that can be offered to the service and educators is from higher authorities within the centre or other services that help deal with behavioural problems.
