Reward Policies Within The Work Environment

Hi
Would someone be able to tell me what exactly 'Reward Policies' means?
I have to pretend to build a framework on building and sustaining an innovative work environment and it asks me to document the following.. and one dot point is 'reward policies'
If anyone could help me, it would be very much appreciated!!

Could it have something to do with staff recognition and rewarding work performance? At one of my centres we have a reward system where each month you vote for an educator, these get tallied at the end of the year and whoever gets the most votes at the end of the year received a reward... Maybe it has something to do with this? This may help give you some ideas too:

That does actually help a lot Lorina :)
I did do some more research and pretty much found out that it is for rewarding work performance.
