Post by smippy » Sat Apr 04, 2015 4:58 pm

I am looking for the national regulation for promote physical activity I thin k Ihave the chapter and element being 2.2 healthy eating and physical activity are embedded in the programme for children which is the standard and the element 2.2.2 which is physical activity is promoted through planned and sponteneous experiences for each child but I am unsure if the National Regulation is 77 which covers health hygiene and safe food practices which does not sound right too me.

I found Regulation 77 that you mentioned. The only other Regulations which has any mention of "physical" is Regulation 105...
77 Health, hygiene and safe food practices

(1) The approved provider of an education and care service must ensure that the nominated supervisor and staff members of, and volunteers at, the service implement—
(a) adequate health and hygiene practices; and
(b) safe practices for handling, preparing and storing food—

OR

Physical Environment - 105 Furniture, materials and equipment

The approved provider of an education and care service must ensure that each child being educated and cared for by the education and care service has access to sufficient furniture, materials and developmentally appropriate equipment suitable for the education and care of that child.

Hope this helps,
