Managing Children’s Behaviour in an Early Childhood Setting

Post by SARAMONSE » Mon Aug 04, 2014 12:40 pm

Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: BNI CHC50113 - Dipl Early Childhood Education-B
BNI CHCECE020, CHCECE021 Inclusion A
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? No
Your knowledge: Beginner

Your Question?
Reflection of own values of appropriate and inappropriate behavior

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
Reflection of own values of appropriate and inappropriate behavior

I believe that appropriated behavior in early childhood setting means behaving in a manner that is respectful for every one involve: children, staff, parents, volunteers etc. It’s really important to respect the other person and treat them as you would wish to be treated.
I think that to teach children appropriated behavior we need to be a role model, so we need to be firm, fair and friendly and have reasonable expectations which are consistent with each child’s developmental abilities also we need to follow the center’s policies and procedures to guide our decisions
In other hand inappropriate behavior is behave in a manner that disrupts or causes harm or risk to every one involve: children, staff, parents, volunteers etc is destructive to the environment and/or equipment.

MY TEACHER SUGGEST ME THIS TEXT BOOK The Early Childhood Educator for Diploma Chapter 7: Establish and implement plans for developing cooperative behaviour, BUT I can't afford it now.
Any ideas or suggestion would be so helpful.

I think you're on the right track with your response but you need to add more too it. Unfortunately I don't have the book you require but I dont have some information that may help you add to your response:

Establish and implement plans for developing cooperative behaviour - Training
Behaviour Management In Childcare
Stages Of Behaviour

Hope this helps,
