Importance Of Laws and Regulations

Just started my Diploma and my brain just doesnt want to function with this particular question. (its been 10+years since I last studied)
If anyone can help that would be a great help to me.
I dont even know if Im on the right track.

Explain the importance of Laws and Regulations for the child, employee and employer.?

Child: Care and welfare of the child is paramount in ensuring their protection and wellbeing while in your care.
Employee: Safe work environment, protection against abuse and discrimintaion etc
