Post by sarubini » Thu Mar 30, 2017 4:58 pm

Hi friends,
i fond the answer from various sources.plz help me wheather im right.and help me make a correct sentences or paragraph for this question.i found the answer but icould not correct appropriate for this question.plz help...

QUESTION:
In your own words describe the impact historical events on Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
Guidance: In your answer cover colonisation, other historical events and issues.

answer:
Acknowledging the impact of events and issues throughout the history of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people, particularly the impact of colonisation, gives non-Indigenous Australian people an insight into the contemporary physical, mental, social, economic and political situations of Indigenous Australian people. These events
and issues provide an explanation for why it is so important to empower Indigenous Australian people, including co-workers, to advocate for selfdetermination, access, equity and social justice.

The important events and issues that have shaped Indigenous Australian people’s lives over many generations affect the way many Indigenous Australian people views non-Indigenous governments, people and policies, and the way many Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people feel about themselves. These effects flow on from generation to generation and influence the confidence and self-esteem of Indigenous Australian children

The impact of the colonisation by the British on Indigenous Australian people varies. Some people accept that these behaviours were in the past, while others continue to feel its direct impact on their personal identities and the development of their cultures

Events and issues in Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander history may include but are not limited to:
• Pre- and post-colonisation history
• Legislation
• Stolen generations
• Deaths in custody
• Health
• Land Rights
• Maralinga
• Mabo
• Religion

Yes, I would only suggest that you add examples of the impacts and also write it in your own words...
