HLTWHS003 - What Does A Director Do With An Incident Report

Post by Maddi92 » Mon Aug 18, 2014 7:21 pm

Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: HLTWHS003
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? Yes
Your knowledge: Beginner

Your Question?
I have been given a scenario and asked to fill in a incident report on a staff member. One of the questions asks " what would the director then do with this report?" based on a privately run service.

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
The first part of the question asked what I would with the report which I answered but I am unsure of the procedure as to what happens after it is given to my director?

Once your director is given the report, they will re-read it, follow up on the incident report with educators if necessary, ring the parents about the incident that took place, sign it, and keep it in a confidential place so when the parents arrive they need to review it and sign it as well. Once the parents sign it, the form will be photocopied and a copy will be given to the parents and the original kept in the child's file.

Hope this helps,
