Helping A Child Deal With Change

Post by smippy » Sun Apr 05, 2015 3:08 pm

would someone be able to tell me which of the NQF/NQS is relevant to helping a child with change.I have another table exercise to do I thought that it might have been quality area 5 the relationships with children but I cannot seem to find anything that says anything about helping them with change in particular.

I had a look myself and I agree that it could be Quality Area 5. Even though like you mentioned it doesn't mention aything about change although the elements support a child through different circumstances and change could also fit into it:
Standard 5.1
Respectful and equitable relationships are developed and maintained with each child.

Element 5.1.1
Interactions with each child are warm and responsive and build trusting relationships.

Element 5.1.2
Every child is able to engage with educators in meaningful, open interactions that support the acquisition of skills for life and learning.

Element 5.1.3
Each child is supported to feel secure, confident and included.
