I have a part answer for this question - Lorina am i going in the right direction?

No problems explaining a nurturing or ethical practice - just figuring out my examples:

Nurturing practices:
Sitting with a child at nap time as they are upset and struggling to sleep
1. Presence of an adult will help to calm the child and and could be supported by utilising family techniques familiar to the child - reciting a nursery rhyme, providing a snuggle or teddy, following a routine etc
2. Building a relationship with the child that shows you are understanding of their needs, responding to their being upset and that you are able to support them. Encourages the child to seek you out if they are upset in future.

Not sure if my two explanations are repeating themselves though?
