Elements and how it can be translated into practice??

Post by brookeamy » Tue Dec 06, 2016 10:41 am

I have a few questions that have to be answered about the element and how it can be translated into practice and I'm unsure how to answer them.

Recognition of the family and relationships within the family as critical to healthy child development

A key focus on the principles of development, learning and play

Early childhood programs recognise that learning occurs in a social context and that family, cultural and environmental factors impact significantly on learning opportunities and learning outcomes for young children

Recognition of the early years as a unique period - Assuring that children are being taught correctly and adequately during the early years of their time at a childcare centre (not sure if this is correct or if I'm on the wrong track?)

Thanks in advance!

Is this the element that you need to give an example of how it can be translated into practice...

For e.g. - toilet training, sleep routines etc.

Hi Lorina,
I need examples of these elements:
- Recognition of the family and relationships within the family as critical to healthy child development
- A key focus on the principles of development, learning and play
- Early childhood programs recognise that learning occurs in a social context and that family, cultural and environmental factors impact significantly on learning opportunities and learning outcomes for young children
- Recognition of the early years as a unique period - i thought an example would be assuring that children are being taught correctly and adequately during the early years of their time at a childcare centre (not sure if I'm correct or not??)
