Documents Relating To Element 7.1.4 Of The NQS

Hey guys

I'm stuck on a question for one of my quality improvement assessments. I have to identify two documents that could be SIGHTED relating to element 7.1.4 of the national quality standards.

Element 7.1.4 is below

Provision is made to ensure a suitably qualified and experienced educator or co-ordinator leads the development of the curriculum and ensures the establishment of clear goals and expectations for teaching and learning.

Documents that could be sighted include:

Assessors may sight:
• evidenceof:
• designation of the educational leader in the staff record
• ongoing planning and evaluation that centres on children’s learning and development
• a curriculum at the service
• professional discussion and interrogation of research and new ideas
• documented goals for teaching and learning that demonstrate a deep understanding of children’s development and learning.

I just don't know where to start looking and what sort of things I should be looking for?

For starters displayed information as information about the educational must be displayed and jobs descriptions.

- Curriculum Plans
- Reflections of children's learning and experiences throughout the day
- A notice of who the education leader is displayed within the service
- Daily Evaluations
- Observations
- Minutes from staff meetings
- Short term and Long term goals for children in each room
