children at risk

Post by Alicia* » Wed Nov 26, 2014 2:01 pm

Hi again everyone.

Would be great if someone could give me advise on where to find information for the following question. I have read the children, youths and family act 2005, child protection act.
searched google but having no luck. I struggle to understand big questions.
Anyway question is based on children at risk, and child abuse.

What records must you keep of the general and specific circumstances in relation to a child at risk?
Where would you find information about record keeping requirements?
What ethical considerations do you need to make when making a notification?
How can you stay up to date with updates or changes to your legal obligations to report children at risk or harm?

found some answers.
1)
-objective observations, physical signs, behavioural signs and disclosures
-make notes details of child at risk
indicators of harm, description of injury
2) policy and procedures handbook
3)
-non judgemental
-have respect of childs privacy
don't make promises
4)- see changes to child protection law webpage

hope this helps others
