2- Explain what is meant by the following as it relates to planning for children's development " the practitioner's belief system will influence the way they 'see ' and interact with children
3- Explain the concept of "intentional teaching in the context " of an early childhood setting
thank you

Re: CHCPR509A Gather, interpret and use information about children
Hi there,
Have just finished this unit myself. All these answers are in the "Frameworks for learning and development' book by Karen Kearns in Chapter 2. If you don't have this book it is worth getting hold of as you will find it covers many other diploma questions. Most work places also have a copy around so you might not have to buy it - good luck!

Re: CHCPR509A Gather, interpret and use information about children
How I observe and plan for a child may be very different to how someone else does. I come from a Montessori background so how I see what a child is doing and plan for it and how I interect with a child is very much in keeping with what I have learnt & studied.Explain what is meant by the following as it relates to planning for children's development " the practitioner's belief system will influence the way they 'see ' and interact with children
Someone else may view things very differently
Even 2 people from 2 different cultural backgrounds may plan differently
Hope you get the gist of what I am saying as I am kind of finding it hard to explain properly as I am having brain freeze at the moment!

Re: CHCPR509A Gather, interpret and use information about children
For Lolo Q 2: This is how we each have our own ideas and values that influence and guide us in making decisions or interacting with children. These ideas and beliefs have come from areas such as your family, your training etc and we use them without realising sometimes eg you may believe children need a dummy as this was normal in your family whereas another person would be anti using one. You may feel it is important for children to learn to write at a young age as your family placed importance on this but other practitioners would prefer to use playdough to strengthen children's fingers.
And Silvana refer back to my first answer as the answers are all in this book.
