Hi there,

I need help with Q6 of this assignment.

Q6- Draft an agenda for your next team meeting where you will discuss the implementation of the new daily routine and the issue of over socialising at pick up time. (This is due to some staff being overly social with parents at pick up time. While interaction with the families is encouraged, it should not be at the detriment of the service. You reviewed the current routine and made some changes to the tasks to be completed.)

I don't know what to say about the over socialising part. Should I advise the educators to be brief when talking to parents during pick up time? How do I put this in words to my staff?

Educators can have a quick chat with parents about their child's day and should keep it professional. Since the afternoon time is a busy time due to pick ups, parents wanting further information or discussion with the educator should arrange a suitable time for a meeting.

Educators should be encouraged to only discuss the child and matters of interest that will benefit the child and the family for learning purposes.
