Select an area of interest to a child.
1. Develop a learning web to support and challenge the child developmentally by using this interest – use areas of the room and the program.
Write how you will monitor confidence and self-esteem and how you will make ‘mistakes’ learning opportunities

Emotional and physical development
Emotional and language development
Emotional and psychological development
Also discuss how your program can assist the emotional development of the child using this area of interest
What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
I planned on how one of the children I was observing at my prac placement showed an interest in painting. My problem is I do not understand what a learning web is and feel quite foolish as I think it is probably something simple.
I figured that it was bes to post all the questions up, as to show what I am struggling with and I think that once I can get an understanding of what a leraning web is and how to write it, that the rest of the questions will be easy to complete as they will tie in together.
Description and Message:
I feel like an idiot, I have been trying to figure this question out for a few weeks with no luck, only getting frustrated and walking away to do something else.
A pointer to where to look for an understanding of a learning web would be greatly appreciated. as I feel that once I can understand how to write up a learning web I will be good as the rest of the question ties into itself.
Thank you

Sometimes the simplest questions gives us a hard time! Seriously, there is nothing wrong with asking and you're not foolish in seeing which direction to go! Feel free to ask any questions here! I'm here to help no matter how hard or easy you think it may be!
Alright so with learning webs I'm pretty sure that it's similar to a mind map. So, in your case you add "paining" to the centre of the web and then you branch out ideas that has to do with painting. Something like using primary colours to create secondary colours, do painting moulds as a sensory experience/ painting on clay, for fine motor skills you can do spray bottle painting, etc. Just think of the different areas within the room and how you may incorporate paining within in.
I also have some more information on mind mapping which may be helpful:

Hope this helps and if you need further help let me know,
