CHCECE026 - Scenarios: Noelene & Susan

Post by susan1 » Thu May 12, 2016 6:06 pm

HI ALL :)
soo almost finished this assignment but I needed abit of help with the remaining qs take a look :

6) How you would reach an agreement with Noeleen about care practices?
Discuss the care policy in place. Tell Noelene that this is not a professional way of dealing with things and that there is another way to go about it.
Provide strategies that you could use instead e.g time out corner etc.

7) How will you clearly explain the guidelines and regulations that you work under within the context of the interview with the parent?
Show her the guidelines and let her know that your best interest is that child being safe and secure. Let her know of sistuations that could happen with docs etc.

During the ‘interview’ with Susan she is very concerned about her child’s safety.
8) How will you respond to her concerns about the biting?
Let her know that your working very close with the family. If she needs any support come to us, provide her with strategies and let her know you are doing your very best to ensure this doesn't continue.

9) What strategies will you suggest to Susan to ensure her that her child is safe in your service?
- close monitoring
- distance from the children
- educator always close by

Suggestions and ideas thank you so much :) x

I'm not too sure about the scenarios...

7) Maybe give the parent a copy of the centres policies and procedures manual which you use in guiding you in your tasks.

8) and 9) -
