Written assessment 2
CHCECE026
investigate how the service consults with a family where there are special issues or concerns.
1.describe the policy that is in place.
2.who is responsible for communicating special issues or concerns with the family?
3.describing how the service shares information with families and involves them with this the program?
4.describe how the service provides information In relation to the operation do they offer information in other languages suited to the needs of the families?
5.describe how the service provides information about community services and resources that support the needs of the families.

I am not working in any kind of service where i can do research on this topic, should i just do some online research? and can any body suggest some links?
I am doing my diploma from home so i am a little unsure about this.

Policies and Procedures are put in place in all centres on basically each and every task, duty or issue that may arise within the service. The policy outlines the necessary steps that needs to be taken in order to do the task, duty or handle the issue. The steps outlines in the policy are in accordance with the law and regulations and need to be understood by each educator.

For your question you will need a policy to help answer your question. Since you don't work in a centre, you can always search for one and usually you'll be able to find a centre's policy you can work from. All centres have similar policies and the only difference would probably be the overall name, a few steps and who to report too but overall centres have the same policies. I found the following you can work from:

FAMILY AND STAFF COMMUNICATION,FEEDBACK AND COMPLAINTS PROCEDURE (page 67 or scroll down until you find this heading).

This policy details the necessary steps need to be taken for a family to communicate with staff. Hopefully you can use this to help answer your questions.
