1) For a child who has additional needs (Child B), how would you adjust your observations and support needs? State what additional need you are referring to.
Additional need – hearing impairment
• we’ll have to collate information from primary and secondary sources such at other educators and special assistance specialists as it provides valuable background material for programming and to share with families.
• We need to give special consideration to that child when planning our curriculum.
• Establish realistic expectations of a child’s capabilities.
• Gain deep knowledge acquired by gathered information and observations and have a sound understanding of expected developmental norms.
2) Referring to Child A (who is 6 months old), how could you develop this child’s learning and development? List 5 suggestions and give reasoning/evidence for each suggestion.
