chcece021- inclusion of all children

Post by rachy » Sun Jul 09, 2017 11:49 am

Hi all, i have another question i just want to see if i am on the right track :)

The question is:- How could you use all families within the centre to celebrate diversity?

My answer:- There are many different ways that you could use all families within the centre to celebrate diversity like asking the families to write down songs in their different languages and then sing them with the children, asking families to bring in their own music, asking families how to say hello and goodbye in their own language, asking the families for recipes and cook with the children, have a dress up day and ask the families to dress their children in their native costumes, displaying posters of people in different countries and taking photos of all the families and adding them to a world map where they have come from.

Any feedback or ideas would be great
Thanks Rach

Yeah that's great! Also including foods from children's culture into the menu, celebrating cultural days adding cultural toys or tools within the experiences...
