At the weekly Program Planning meeting 2 educators from the younger toddler room are discussing their group and individual goals for the children, who range in age from 14 months to 2 years. Educator, Sam, has brought some observations of Melodie (22months) to share. The learning stories reflect her limited interactions with other children, and also how she can become angry and upset if another child touches a toy that she has discarded. Other observations show that she is slow to settle in the morning, and that she has not yet formed strong attachments to the educators.
A) Identify one of the practices of the Early Years Learning Framework that will be important for the program goals for Melodie? Explain your choice of practice.
Im divided as to which one to go towards my first thought was Responsiveness to children or transitions but I also think Holistic approaches covers it as well. which Practice do you suggest?
B) Explain another example (a current scenario) from an Early Childhood Education and Care Service to support the practice you have identified in a) above
C) Explain how this example is supported by policies and procedures in the service.
im confused is this based on my example or the scenario above(Melodie).. both I guess actually..lol
D) Which quality areas in the National Quality Standards (NQS) does your example relate to?

starting to think the practice learning through play may be the best option. The more I read the more I can fit this scenario in..lol. any suggestions ta
Re: CHCECE009 - Scenario: Melodie practices to guide programe
For the practice I think it may be "Responsiveness To Children". In the scenario, it mentions that the child has limited interactions and easily becomes angry and upset...Because of this you need to respond according to her needs and support the child by offering more interaction opportunities etc.
