Hi I was wondering if someone could check if i was on the right track for this question or if i need to add any more info.

a) Which policies, typically available in an early education and care service, is this parent breaching? Identify two policies.

Answer:
It is important that all children have access to healthy foods and drinks which is good for their wellbeing. Early childhood service's have their own Food and Nutrition policies which helps in promoting health and safety to children in their care. The Food and Nutrition Policy states that children should always have access to water throughout the day and that children should only drink water while at the service.

The parent is firstly breaching the service's food and nutrition policy in regards to promoting children's health, safety and wellbeing. The parent is required to supply her young child with water but keeps sending sugary drinks instead what is required according to the service's policy. Services have to work in with compliance with the National Quality Standard. The National Quality Standard has seven quality areas that each service implement into their service. E.g. Quality Area 2- Children's health and Safety. Services need to work in promoting healthy lifestyles, good nutrition and the wellbeing of all children by developing their own policies and procedures that clearly follows the regulations of the NQS.

Each parent needs to make sure that their child's needs are supported. The parent is however not supporting the young child's health needs by supplying sugary drinks which are not nutritional and healthy. The service food and nutrition policy follows each Quality Area which is implemented into the service. E.g. Quality Area 2- Children's health and safety. Each Quality Area has standards that must be followed. The parent is breaching the standard mentioned in the policy E.g. 2.1.1-Every child's health needs are supported. It a requirement that all parents follow their service's Food and Nutrition Policy in order to promote health and safety to children.

The only point I'd make is that the question is asking for 2 policies so in this instance you can add Nutirition Policy, Dietray Requirments Policy or Food and Beverage Policy. You only added Food and Nutrition Policy which is only 1 so just add another as well...
