SHARING INFORMATION AND DEVELOPMENT RELATIONSHIPS
A. DESCRIBE HOW THE SERVICE AND EDUCATOR GATHERS INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHILD FROM THE PARENT?.
Service as the management would normally ask for some enrolling form those form including information about the child and the environment and as well as explication from the parents. Parents appreciated to be ask to give feedback that will give them friendly feeling and a strong connection with the child care provider. The educator will have more communication about the child and the feedback from both educator and parents. E.g. special needs. Like or dislikes, child interest and child routine at home.
B. DESCRIBE HOW THE EDUCATOR COMMUNICATES INFORMATION ABOUT THE CHILDS EDUCATION AND CARE TO THE PARENT?.
Educator could ask the parents question about their child e.g. can they write their names? Count numbers and read books? Do they need help changing their cloths or put on sock and shoes? Do they need a favourite toy to make them feel safe? Can there eat on their own?. The educator will support and help the child with their needs and encourage the child to do their best. Communication can be made by emails, newsletters, one to one meeting both educator and parents. The educator can set a reward program to recognise achievements and that would help to creative a communication channel with the parents, and program book how the child is developing in their stages.
C. DESCRIBE THE STRATEGIES USED BY THE SERVICE TO DEVELOP AND SUPPORT EDUCATOR AND CHILD RELATIONSHIPS?.
The educator will interact with the child by giving the child eye contact and getting down to their level so that the child will feel safe and also face to face contact. Having a conversation with the child during the day. The child can be excited because there are learning new activities and interest to see and listen. Allow the child to share ideas and experience. Educator always ask question and share information. Educator will let the child feel warm and a safe environment is a happy place to be. Educator can also role model.
