Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: Ensure health and safety of children
Your Assignment Type: Standard Question
Currently Working in Childcare? No
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge

Your Question?
This assessment asks this question:

1. In the morning one of the parents approaches you saying that she has just seen Dakota’s mum filling in the medication book AGAIN! She says that Dakota ALWAYS has medication and asks you what is wrong with her. How do you respond to this question?

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
My response would be say (in a respectful and friendly way) that such information is confidential. I would also assure the parent that there is no way that the situation could impact on the health of her child.

Thanks for any further ideas!

Yes, you're on the right track... you could say something like: "Yes, I understand you feel concerned that Dakota always seems to be on medicine but the reason why she is on the medication is confidential. Just know that Dakota taking the medicine has no impact on your child so you have nothing to worry about"...
