CHCCS400C Work within a relevant legal and ethical framework - Assessment 2

Hi I just want to check this is correct, I'm not sure is this is the right kind of connection....

• In your own words, summarise how they are connected and the application of each in your work role.

Privacy Act 1988
The object of the Privacy Act is to protect privacy of individuals and to facilitate a reporting system and a free flow of information across national borders while ensuring that privacy is respected. Childcare centre’s are covered by this act as they provide a health service and hold health information. For example upon enrolment each family must provide proof of immunisations or a doctor’s certificate exempting their child from them. This information is to be confidential and not to be shared with other parents. It could also apply to any child’s health issues and any medications that they may require.

Likewise with this too...

Fair Work Act 2009
The Fair Work Act 2009 is an act in place to provide a balanced framework for cooperative and productive workplace relations that promotes national economic prosperity and social inclusions for all Australians. This means regulating minimum wages, annual leave, grievance leave, safe working environments, anti discrimination in the workplace etc and overall ensures that the employee has rights that are written into law and the employer must provide for them. For me as an educator it provides an outline of terms and conditions of employment and my rights and responsibilities. This could mean meeting minimum ratios of staff in classrooms or having sufficient breaks throughout the day.
