Your Question?
Hi everyone
Lack of sleep ,due to some health issues at moment I feel embarrassed asking for help but will help get me back on track.
Develop a strategy /evacuation plan for evacuating the childcare building which is located behind residentual house which is on fire.
The property has access to childcare centre via driveway next to house, the property is flanked on the side and rear by houses one next door neighbour owns large dog, The side houses have 12 foot high brick fences, the rear house who doesnt get along with( Nina-childcare lady) has 6 foot high paling fence. Nina will employ 2 staff members.

Questions-
-who should be involved in design development of plan- all staff i answered
list of actionable items and time frame plus who will be responsible for items
instructions on seeking medical advice i case of incident/emergency
instructions on contacting parents dealing with emotional needs of children ect after incident- check they are all ok and provide comfort i answered.


What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?

Never feel embarrassed to ask for help! Sometimes you just need a push into the right direction. Here are some thoughts for your questions:

1 - Yes, staff are required for the development of the evacuation plan but you can also consult the management committee and get someone from the local fire department to come ad assist in developing if the evacuation plan.

2 - Sample Evacuation Policy

3 - Get assistance from the Director, call child's doctor, call parents, call ambulance if needed

4 - Room leaders to contact parents on incident that has occurred, re-assure them that everything is fine now and their child is safe. Give an update on their child and how they are coping and provide an option if they want to pick up their child from the centre.
