Question 3- Participation
You are required to provide evidence of how you have involved families within the early childhood eduction and care service and learning program. You will need to provide evidence of completing the following
1. Provide an example outlining where you have encouraged the participation of families in children's experiences within the early learning environment
2. Provide an example outlining how you have provided opportunities for families to give feedback on the early childhood education service and program
3. Provide an example of how you have authentically listened to a family's input on the educational component of the program and valued their input as an equal parent
What I have got so far
I have encouraged the participation of families by introducing soy yoghurt to the children at morning tea time instead of normal yoghurt. We have got an opportunity to get the families involved by asking them if they are willing to allow there children to try soy yoghurt

Re: CHC50113- Supporting children's successful participation
Do I have to add anything else in this
Re: CHC50113 - Parent Participation In The Service & Learning Program
Yes, the soy yoghurt is an example you could use but only asking the parents if they will allow their child to try it isn't much family participation. it's a quick question... Instead maybe you could ask families what types of desserts that they would like their to eat (maybe give them 3 options) and based on this you can change the desserts...
Hope this helps.

Okay thanks but we don't have dessert at our centre so could a example be what your child eats for lunch
Re: CHC50113 - Parent Participation In The Service & Learning Program
Yes, for this maybe you could survey the parents about meals they eat from their culture. Then you probably incorporate these foods within the menu over a couple of months.

Re: CHC50113 - Parent Participation In The Service & Learning Program
For the survey you could ask families about the different foods they eat, foods from their culture or other cultures, etc. Both these questions can be added into the survey...
