Anecdotal Observations - Interpretation

Post by Tahlia.danielle » Tue Jun 16, 2015 11:10 pm

Hi all, I'm new to this site and I'm hoping I could get some assistance from someone :)

I've just started writing observations for an assignment. I've just wrote an anecdotal observation (or so I think >< I'm not too sure If I've done it right), and I'm stuck on writing up an interpretation for it.. And also not quite sure how to link this one to any EYLF outcomes. Here's what I've wrote:

Time: 4:15 pm
‘’Broom broom’’, Harvey shouted, as he ran over to a tub of toy cars that I had bought out on his mat. He pulled out a green car and a red car, which he placed next to each other. Harvey paused for a moment before picking up the tub and then tipped it over allowing all the cars to scatter on the floor. ‘’Uh oh’’ he said, turning back and looking at me with a smile. Harvey began quickly picking up the cars on the ground and placed them back into the tub, leaving only his favourite two, which were yellow and blue. He walked over to his toy box, reached out for a small wooden bridge and bought it back over to the cars. ‘’Broom broom, broom broom’’ he continued, as he pushed the two cars over the bridge.

If any one could give me some suggestions, it will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
