Recording ratios out in the playground

Post by WILQ » Fri Feb 16, 2018 11:05 pm

Hi Everyone,
I was wondering what your centres do in regards to monitoring child ratios of a morning and afternoon out in the playground. I know that some centres use a ratio chart to document the numbers and others don’t?
Is it a regulation requirement to keep a record or document ratios using a template etc or is it something that is not necessary? Any thoughts or ideas as to what you do at your Centre Would be much appreciated?

A ratio check can be done to check numbers and to maintain educator to child ratios. For morning and afternoon, it's good to keep a count as children come in and out of the centre.

Keeping a record helps to document the time and the number of children so you can keep track.

It's really for your services benefit etc.
