Help With Selection Criteria When Applying For A Job

I'm applying for a job I really want but I'm stuck on one of the selection criteria because I don't understand what they are specifically asking.

"Interest in and participate in research activities in the centres"

Any suggestions or examples of what to write would be super appreciated!!

Maybe an example could be:

Research in a particular topics that you don't know much about - The children saw a spider web outside on the leaves of the trees, and they started asking you question about how the spider creates their webs, how long does it last, are their webs strong. For this, you needed to find out information and research spider webs in order to answer the children;s questions.
