Face piercing and working in a ccc

Post by aleks » Wed Aug 19, 2015 2:06 pm

Hello
Just wondering if it is generally acceptible to have a small face piercing (under lower lip) and work in a child care centre?
Will i be asked to take it off?

Thanks

Aleks

You may be asked to take it out because it may cause a safety issue. For example if you are working with babies they tend to touch faces and if they happen to catch hold of it and pull it, it could cause a nasty injury to you. However, I have a nose ring and 3 earrings on each side and I have never been asked to remove it (I use very small studs for work). Don't take it personally if you're asked to remove it... Maybe you could get a small clear stud that is barely visible... It really depends... Sometimes they will ask you, sometimes they won't...
