Hi Lorina,
I think I have worked out the practices for my previous post relating to EYLF which has not been answered. I need to write a child protection report using factual and objective language. This is what I have written so far......Time and Date and name of child ect....
Jenny Wren is a 4 year old girl in who attends kindy 3 days per week at Lesley Ann's Childcare Centre. Whilst playing outside on the slide, I noted Jenny was holding her arm and complaining it was hurting. On numerous occasions I have noted Jenny has shown aggressive behaviour towards the other children in her group. After Jenny complained of her arm hurting, I noticed a large bruise on her upper arm the size of a golf ball, purple in colour. I will continue to observe Jenny over a short period of time at different times of the day. Over the following days I have noted more bruising on different parts of her body, including her head and neck area. These particular bruises were also the size of golf balls and purple in colour. I have decided to take Jenny to a private area and asked her the following questions "Jenny, how did you hurt your arm?" Jenny responded in her own words "my Daddy told me not to tell!". "Did you Daddy hurt you Jenny?" "Yes he hit me, as I was naughty and would not eat all my dinner!"
Is there anything else I need to ad here?
thanks again!
Cheers Lesley
