Unauthorized Collection Of A Child

Post by lilybeth7 » Fri Jul 26, 2013 3:48 pm

Your Assignment Module Number and Heading: Collection of a child
Your Assignment Type: Case Scenario
Currently Working in Childcare? No
Your knowledge: Basic Knowledge

Your Question?
What are your immediate actions with the unauthorised collection of child if someone comes to pick up a child but they are not an authorised person?

What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
I was wondering if you would bother contacting the parents to get verbal permission or do we just tell the person that because we dont have written permission from the parents for you to collect the child you are unable to collect the child. Does it have to be in writting??

Yes, you would need to contact the parents to confirm. Once the parents have confirmed you have to ask the unauthorized person for photo I.d, such as a drivers license with their name to verify who they are.
