Scenario: Tamara

Post by emmakathrynn » Mon Jun 29, 2015 7:22 pm

Question: How could you work with Tamara’s family to resolve the issues relating to her hygiene, health and diet? (Describe 3 strategies).

Answer: 1. Firstly arrange a meeting with Tamara’s parents at a time that suits them within operating hours. At the meeting I would raise my concerns about Tamara’s health.
2. While at the meeting I would present ideas on how to resolve the issues but would also be prepared to negotiate alternatives that would be acceptable to both parties.
3. Avoid a situation where voices become raised. I must explain my concerns clearly and calmly. Also ask Tamara’s mother to be calm throughout the discussion so if both parties are clear on the actions to resolve the issue. Notes must be made of all discussions held.

Question: What external agencies or services could you contact to support Tamara and her family? (Identity 3 government or non-government agencies or services)

Answer: 1. I could contact the National Childcare Accreditation Council (NCAC)
2. Department of Education and Children’s Services
3. Australian Government of Social Services

Hey, I have no idea if I have answered these correctly.. Any help would be amazing hah :)

Work legally and ethically

Scenario-you really hate it when someone borrows something of yours and does not return it.Loooking through your study books you come across a book you training facilitator lent you at the beginning of the course. You were sure that you had returned it ages ago,and had told her so.You believe that by this time she probably written it off as lost property.

Is this an ethical issue or an ethical dilemma and in paragraph explain why?
In a paragraph explain what you would do?
