Practices Of Contributing To Workplace Sustainability

Post by hsidaros » Sun Dec 20, 2015 12:05 pm

my question is :
Describe how you would contribute to the sustainability of the workplace for each of the following.
Identify why it's important and one practice for each:

a) Environment
b) Economic
c) Workforce
d) Social

Environment:
Contribute: Engage children in discussions about sustainable practices, Such as noticing how a garbage bin is full,
how food and scraps left over after meal times etc.
Buy books with environmental content to share with the children
Importance: It is important to maintain the healthy environment for future generations
Practice: Install a rain water tank for water play and gardening.

Economic:
Contribution: increasing children's knowledge and understanding of energy and water saving and using the natural resources
Importance: the responsible and beneficial balance can be achived over the long term
Practice: Role model energy and water conservation practices
(turning off lights when room not in use, emptying water play containers into gardens and explain its benefits.

Workforce:
Contribute: attracting and retaining the right people, with the right skills and capabilities, to meet current and future business requirements.
Importance: It's about developing the employees to reach their full potential so that they can be future leaders of our business.
Practice: offering individual continuous development programs, supporting extra curricular training and education

Social:
Contribute:maintaining mutual beneficial relationships with all employees/ers, clients and within the community
Importance: Social sustainability is important practice of creating a diverse and equitable society that successfully
meets the basic social needs of citizens.
Practice: supports children and their parents to connect with and contribute to their environment.

Please if anyone can give advice\opinion

Thank you in advance :)
