Meet legal and ethical obligations in an education support environment

Post by Nama.Alhilali » Sat Jan 14, 2023 10:52 am

hi if anyone could help please

Scenario: Ethical dilemma
This scenario is based on the simulated organisation Wetlands Central School. A School. (Long URL- http://bit.ly/WetlandsSO)
Learning Support Officer (SLSO) named Jen was hired for a position at the same time as you. The principal expects all SLSOs to be at work at 9 a.m. and yet Jen shows up routinely late and nothing is said about it. This morning, Jen disclosed that the principal is her uncle. You recognise that this is a conflict of interest.

1. What is meant by a conflict of interest?

2. What school policy is affected by (or related to) this disclosure?

3. Outline three examples of Conflict of Interest from the Code of Conduct.

4. What is the difference between real and perceived conflict of interest?

thank you in advance...
