Hi,
I have a question regarding to the main principles of the functional assessment model. I already answered the question but still i need to resubmit and revise it. would you mind to help me please?
Question:
Explain what are the main principles of the Functional Assessment Model?
my answer:
The main principles are:
-Antecedent : what occurs before the behaviour and may have triggered it. All the relevant things that happened before the behaviour occurred.
-Behaviour : what happens during the behaviour (what does it look like). Needs to understand the purpose of the behaviour.
-Consequences : what are the immediate and delayed reactions from everyone involved. Those could be pleasant or unpleasant. Pleasant consequence will reinforce the behaviour. And a negative consequence will discourage a behaviour.
what do you think?
I get confused since I need to revise it but couldnt find any answers yet... I need your help.
Thank you
regards,
Neffi

Re: Main Principles Of Functional Assessment Model
Explain what are the main principles of the Functional Assessment Model?
Functional Behavioral Assessment is a tool to help us
understand why kids do what they do. The notion is that
all behavior serves a purpose or a function; it fulfills some
need. Functional Behavioral Assessment allows us to
determine why a student is doing what he or she is doing.
Then we can help the student come up with a more
socially acceptable way to have his or her needs met that
works for the student and that fits with the environment
and culture of the class.
Is that correct?
