How Healthy Eating Affects Oral Health and Hygiene

Post by hsidaros » Sat Sep 26, 2015 1:18 pm

Q : Explain how healthy eating affects oral health and hygiene ?
My Answer is :
Children need a balanced diet, including fruit and vegetables, bread and cereals, meat and
meat alternatives, and dairy foods. Between meals the best drink is tap water, and snacks should
be unsweetened and not sticky. Keep treats such as lollies and fizzy drinks for special occasions –
offer them at the end of a meal instead of in-between meals. The more times a day that a child
has sugary foods and sweet drinks the more likely it is that their teeth will decay. Children do not
need to have food and drinks at bedtime. This is also the most important time to brush the teeth
with fluoride toothpaste

Please if anyone can give advice/opinion, thank you
