CHCPRT001 - Trauma Informed Care To A Child

Post by Dip15 » Sat Jul 25, 2015 1:47 am

Hi

I am really stuck with one question.

Question - Who can provide trauma-informed care to a child or young person?

My answer - I have researched for long time and am confused. I think is the Department of community services or child protection or children and young person ...

Please guide me

Thanks

I can understand it may be difficult getting information for this question. It's also a little frustrating when students ask a question, get a response and don't bother adding if the information helped or not. Anyway.. I did a bit more searching for you and I think I found it:

Trauma Informed Practice

Hope you find the info,

Hi Lorina

Thanks for your time in researching more for me. I am sorry in the last post I unknowingly pressed the submit button.
Your links was useful for me.

I am confused with the question what is it actually asking me to write.
Is it who can provide care like the counselor or the Child wellbeing unit or health????

Thanks for your help

Yes, I think that's what it is asking... In regards to who can provide care...I don't think an Educator themselves could provide trauma informed care it may have to be a specialist like a counsellor, since it seems to be a very serious condition that requires sensitivity and care by professionals.
