CHCLEG001 Case study 4

Post by sari osborne » Mon Oct 24, 2016 1:29 pm

James is a member of the local ECEC service committee. He has to return to work and needs care for his young child. His family are looking for a prioritised place in the local ECEC service. As a member of the committee, James influences the committee to approve a priority place for his child. He justifies his action by saying that his child was a clear priority and that the decision to give him a place at the ECEC service would have been the same whether he was on the committee or not.

Q1 what is the conflict of interest?
Q2 how should the other members of the committee respond when James tries to influence them?

im not sure how to answer these questions or where to find any information relating to these Questions
