Hi there,
Looking for some well needed help!
I have to Scenrios that I'm stumped on?
Scenario 4 – Kelsey
You work in a long day care service. The service has just employed a new trainee, Kelsey. You notice that Kelsey appears unsure of her roles and responsibilities throughout the day. Your room leader asks you to assist Kelsey in developing a better understanding of her responsibilities.
Questions:
1.What areas of the Code of Ethics will guide you in dealing with Kelsey??
2.Identify three sources of information that you will use to assist Kelsey to understand her responsibilities?
3.As you discuss the service policies and procedures with Kelsey, you notice that the policy for the collection of children is out of date. What would you do?
Scenario 3 - Outside work hours
You are out one night with your work colleagues from your service, when you see one of your parents from the centre. The parent comes over to your work group and starts talking about other families at the service. She mentions that she has seen one family that attends the service lock their 3 children under 10 years of age outside the home on weekends for extended periods of time.
1.How would you deal with the situation at the time? What would you say?
2.What concerns do you have with this situation? Relate your answers to relevant legal and ethical guidelines.
3.How would you deal with the information the parent shared with you?
Any help would so much appreciated!!
Thanks Jade
