4. Knowing who the local custodians are and their language group, think about how this can acknowledge and recognise the local Aboriginal community in a local service.
For example; look at resources within your service or think about resources children’s service may have available to them. Make a list of current and appropriate items that reflect diversity of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities e.g.
Books
Music Instruments
Puzzles
Creative experiences
Visual Aids

hi I hope this helps knowing who the local custodians are helps acknowledge and recognise local aboriginal communities and gain respect for them it helps non indigenous people learn more about the aboriginal culture and become aware of there lifesyles and practices.the non indigenous people can also pass on the information they have gathered onto their children and that will promote repect in the community
