My answer is
After reading theories on play, seeing what has come out of extensive research on children’s play, knowing what a child should be getting out of play can help me to make sure children are on the right track.

Re: CHCECE011 - Theory Of Play
Your response is very general. Your answer needs to show how you will respond to children during play situations. You should provide some examples within the "theories of play" to help you answer this question. The following may help:

Re: CHCECE011 - Theory Of Play
is this response better?
The theories can assist in play situations because they are a guide into how children grow, learn and develop. The theories have helped me form my own values and beliefs about learning and helped me understand strategies for promoting children’s development
