CHCECE006 - Redirecting Behaviour

Post by RitaP » Thu Nov 03, 2016 10:03 am

Hi all,

I'm working on CHCECE006 Support behavior of children and young people and Im not sure how to go about answering the below question:

Discuss in 50 to 80 words how you might redirect behaviour/defuse situations in the examples listed:

1. A child is ripping up pages of a book.

2. A young person is singing loudly when other young people are remembering their lines for an upcoming play that is going to be performed. The young person says they already know their lines and do not need to practice anymore.

3. A young person repeatedly loses their temper when they do not win games.

4. A child is told that they cannot play a particular toy. They become so angry that they begin to physically strike out at anyone in their reach.

Any help would be much appreciated. TIA
