Question is:
A child in your service has sustained a head injury. Outline what you would do to respond to this incident?
I have looked online and in my book but there is just nothing about this that i can find. I understand you would notify the parents and fill in a incident report but do you call an ambulance or doctor? Not move the child and get them to lay still on their back?
Thank you in advance.

Re: CHCECE002 - Scenario: Child Sustaining A Head Injury
Well it depends how serious it is... However all head injuries big or small you will need to notify the parent when it happens. When filling out the incid by form you will have to include as much detail as possible such as when, how, where it happened and the child's reactions such as complaining of a headache, dizziness, vomiting etc. I would probably recommend that the parent will come and get the child checked at the doctor for the safety of the child...
