CHCECE001 - Indigenous Events That Took Place Where You Live/Work

Post by muniramohsin » Thu Jul 02, 2015 1:01 pm

identify an historical issue or event that has taken place in relation to Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people on the land where you live or work. How do you think this would impact on Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander people today

I looked on the council website seems like i cant find any info an by the way it is Holroyd City Council.
i found this info i don't no if it is relevant or not
The Indigenous inhabitants of the area were the Darug people and were known to occupy the areas west of present day Parramatta. The region is in part located within the Deerubbin and Gandangara Land Councils. Food sources for the local people meant sourced food seasonally at rivers and creeks during the summer while winter saw migrations to woodland forests typical of the Cumberland

thank you....

Yes, I think your response is relevant but it only answers one part of the question... Now you have to think about how it impacts Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islanders today...
