ACCORDING TO THE EDUCATION AND CARE SERVICES NATIONAL REGULATION 2011

A CHILD MAY ONLY LEAVE THE PREMISES OF THE EDUCATION AND CARE SERVICE IF THEY
ARE GIVEN INTO THE CARE OF?

A PARENT OF THE CHILD
AN AUTHORISED NOMINEE NAMED IN THE CHILD'S ENROLMENT RECORD

A PERSON AUTHORISED BY A PARENT OR AUTHORISED NOMINEE NAMED IN THE CHILD'S ENROLMENT RECORD.

Yes, you're correct. Only a parent or legal guardin of the child may pick up the child. An authorised person on the enrolment record may pick up the child. if anybody else like a babysitter needs to pick up the child then the parent or legal guardin must provide written Consent to the director. It cannot be verbal consent, it must be written, signed, dated and clearly state who the child is, who is picking up the child and the days and or dates that this person is picking up the child.
