OK, at work you would have a policy and procedure manual which describes how to just about every task according to procedure, under regulations, law, etc. For example: hand washing policy, nappy change policy, toileting policy, etc. So, the question is asking how you work within the guidelines of the policies etc. Since you are working in a centre at the moment just have a look through their policies and procedure manual to see what types of policies they have. It should include information on the specific law and regulation for each individual policy.
