CHCCN302A Childrens Emotional needs...HELP PLEASE!!

Post by Steffelz » Fri Jul 29, 2011 1:03 pm

My brain has gone into auto pilot, and I need to get this question done, but im just not getting anywhere, so I was wondering if anyone could help. The question is :

Explain how you would provide for and respond to the emotional needs of children in the care environment.

Anyones help would be much appreciated
Thanks :)

Hey Steffelz,

You can do such things as:

- Giving a crying child a hug.

- Holding a crying child.

- Playing and interacting with a child.

- Letting a child hold your hand.

- Talk positively with a child.

Hopefully these ideas can help,

Cheers :geek:,

In some cases you can almost subsitute yourself in these questions and think of your emotional needs & how people respond.
Like LA said its just doing things that emotionally support a child when he needs it most
