Question one: Why is it important to maintain a link between the care environment and home?
Question two: Define individuality and explain its importance when relating to children.
What is your answer so far or What have you done so far as an attempt to solve this question?
Question one : Because then the child will feel comfortable in both environments. It will help the transition between home and care easier. It will also help the child’s development and learning as they are the same type of environments and the child will feel more confident within both these areas meaning that more will be learnt.
Question two: The quality or character of a person or thing that distinguishes them from others of the same kind. Individuality is a key component of success. Throughout life there are many ‘competitions’, as an individual, it helps put you above the rest. Individuality helps a person stand out from the rest. In social groups, everyone classifies people in that group in the same category, but if a child has their own individuality and doesn’t try to be like their group, then they won’t be classed in that category.
