Post by OldChook » Mon Sep 26, 2016 6:17 pm

Hi, I have done some research on this subject and can't seem to find what I am looking for, I know I have read this info already somewhere and now I have lost where it was.
Need help to locate info on the following question please! Any help would be truly appreciated.
Thank -you kind regards OldChook.

17. As a child care worker, you will sometimes have to deal with children who are unwell.
a) Who is the first person you should inform if you suspect a child is sick?
b) Identify the documentation that needs to be completed when a child in your care has been unwell.
c) What policies/procedures relate to who can see this documentation?
d) Does the parent need to sign the form?

Who is the first person you should inform if you suspect a child is sick?
National regulations state that family should be notified as soon as possible . It does not indicate about an immediate person .
Pls help

If a child is sick you will need to inform your room leader/ director. They will take the child's temperature, note down the symptoms, isolate the child and inform the parents.
